Book club will talk about Logue

The Red Wing Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 11 at the Red Wing Public Library. People will discuss books by Mary Logue.

Tween Book Club will meet

Those in grades 4 through 6 can meet for the Tween Book Club at the Red Wing Public Library Foot Room 5:30 p.m. March 10. Select and read a book that’s been nominated for the Maud Hart Lovelace Award before the event. The book club includes games, snacks and book talk.

iKids app story time planned

Learn how kids can have fun with apps at an early literacy app workshop 10:30 a.m. Friday March 14 at the Red Wing Public Library. The activities will be for children ages 2 to 5 and iPads will be provided.

The attendance limit is 10 children; pre-register in person at the library or by calling 651-385-3645.

Tech clinic planned

Bring devices such as iPads, Kindles, Nooks or other tablets to the Red Wing library on Thursdays from 1 to 2 p.m. to get help with downloading library eBooks and ask other questions of the library’s tech experts.

Winter story times planned

The Red Wing Public Library continues to host story times for children.

Baby, Books and Me Lapsit story time is Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for babies from birth to 18 months. It includes rhymes, stories and music, and each baby receives a free board book on their birthday week.

Rock and Read story hour is Tuesdays at 11:15 a.m. and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Kids ages 3 to 5 are invited to enjoy songs, stories and rhymes.

Wiggle Worms Toddler story time for ages 18 months to 2 years is Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and includes stories, songs and movement.

Homeschool group available

Homeschoolers are welcome to join in activities and lessons the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 1 p.m. in the Red Wing Library Foot Room. The focus is on oral language skills.
