Pier 55

Pier 55, formally known as Red Wing Senior Center, is located at 240 Harrison St. All events listed are held at the Pier 55 unless otherwise noted. Phone number is 651-327-2255.

AOA meets twice a week

Get fit and stay healthy. Join in with Active Older Adults at Pier 55 at 9 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. The class includes low-impact aerobics, strength training and stretching. Cost $30 for 20 sessions for non-YMCA members.

Seniors Helping Seniors

Seniors Helping Seniors peer support volunteers are skilled and committed to helping other seniors who are experiencing distress in their lives. If you need someone to talk to or you know someone who does, please contact Robin Wipperling at 651-327-2255.

Play games

The following games will be played: Scrabble - 1 p.m. Wednesdays and Chess – 1 p.m. Wednesdays

Get help for your feet

A foot clinic and massage is available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday Jan. 9. Cost $40 for 30 minutes. Sessions include foot assessment, nail trimming, filing, lotion application and massage.

Medical equipment available

Gently used medical equipment is available at the Senior Center to use for up to three months during a period of medical convalescence or short-term disability.

Items include wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, commodes and more. If you need something, visit or call the center. A $20 donation is requested to help with the ongoing program costs.

Jordan Towers

Jordan Towers are located in the 400 block of West Fifth Street in downtown Red Wing. All events listed are held at Jordan Tower I or II unless otherwise noted.

Socialize through games

Here's the schedule of games to be played in the Jordan Tower II Sailstad Room: Bingo - 1 p.m. Mondays and Saturdays, 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. Euchre – 6:30 p.m. Fridays.

Support services offered

Free blood pressure checks will be given at 11:45 a.m. Friday Jan. 10 at 207 Second St., Goodhue. The service is offered by St. Brigid’s Hi-Park volunteers.
