Halloween story time at the Red Wing library

Spooktacular! Story Time will be 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at the Red Wing Public Library. Toddlers and preschoolers are invited to come in costume for the Halloween creature feature spotlighting silly and spooky stories and songs.

Live Literary Clue is Oct. 28

Teens in grades 7-12 can join in a live-action murder mystery game of Clue at the Red Wing library at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 28. Chose a game character and come in costume. RSVP is required; call the library at 651-385-3645.

Fall story times continue

Fall story times at the Red Wing library include Baby, Books and Me Lapsit at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays for babies birth to 18 months, Rock & Read preschool story hour for ages 3 to 5 Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Wiggle Worms Toddler Story Time for those 18 months to 2 years at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays.

Homeschool groups also are invited to enjoy activities and lessons focusing on storytelling and oral language skills on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. in the Foot Room.

All programs are free and open to the public.

Book Club for Women meets

The Book Club for Women will “The Round House” by Louise Erdrich, at 10:30 a.m. Friday Nov. 1. The group meets at Pier 55, 240 Harrison St.

Author visits Cannon Falls

Wayne Jorgenson will stop by the Cannon Falls Library, at 7 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 29. The author will talk about his book “Every Man Did His Duty” which describes many stories of soldiers in the Battle of Gettysburg. The library is located at 306 Mill St. West.
