Red Wing High School students will take to the stage this week as they perform their fall play, “The Ants and the Grasshoppers.”

Director Sean Dowse said the students have been working on the play for about a month.

The play, written by Ross Mihalko and Donna Swift, is a short, comedic children’s play and is a twist on the classic Aesop’s fable “The Ant and the Grasshopper.”

Tori Miller, stage manager, said she thinks it’s a great show with a good message.

It shows that you need to have fun, but also work hard, she said, adding the play really showcases the talent of the actors and shows the different skills they have.
