County celebrates World Habitat Day on Saturday
Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity, in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity International, will celebrated World Habitat Day on Saturday.
The celebration's focus is to address the lack of decent housing around the world, including the need for decent, affordable housing in Goodhue County.
Three celebrations are planned in Goodhue County. One will be held at the site of the Habitat home under construction in Cannon Falls at 109 Valley Court, one at the Habitat construction site in Kenyon, at 704 State St., and one at the Red Wing construction site at 429 Pine St.
All will be held at noon. The public is invited to help celebrate the accomplishments and to recognize the amount of work still to be done.
Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity has built 25 homes in Goodhue County for people in need, including three homes being completed this year.
