‘Lord’s Prayer’ moves to Presbterian Church
Red Wing will have two ecumenical evening worship services Wednesday March 18 coordinated by churches around the park.
The 5 p.m. service will be at First Presbyterian Church with a meal at 5:30 p.m. The 6:30 p.m. service will be at United Lutheran Church. Pastor Justin Boeding of United Lutheran will preach at both services.
The 2015 theme is “The Lord’s Prayer.” Loose offering will go to the Community Care Fund.
Join the mediation
Christ Episcopal Church will hold community worship services at 10 a.m. Wednesdays. These meditations will continue through Lent.
Southeast Deanery will meet in Cannon Falls
The Southeast Deanery of the Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women will host a Day of Recollection at St. Pius V Catholic Church of Cannon Falls on Thursday March 26.
The day will include speaker Sister Martha Alken, rosary, Mass and lunch with a brief board meeting to follow. Registration and coffee begins at 9:30 a.m. and lunch is planned for noon.
Alken is an association pastoral minister at St. John Neumann in Eagan, Minnesota. She is the author of “The Healing Power of Forgiveness.” An offering will be collected.
Methodists will host as well as serve supper
The Community Meal/Sunday Supper will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday March 15 at First United Methodist Church. The home congregation will serve the meal this weekend.
This is free and open to everyone. Local congregations, organizations and service groups take turns serving the food.
Prayer day is March 21
Join in united prayer 9 a.m. to noon Saturday March 21 at the Villa Maria. Centering Prayer groups throughout the world gather in an annual global experience of fellowship. Centering Prayer is a form of Christian Meditation.
There will be a period of prayer followed by a DVD presentation by Father Thomas Keating with time for discussion.

Healing services set
First Lutheran Church will hold services of healing today and Sunday. The liturgy, music and readings will support the theme, and there will be annointing of oils.
Bowling event planned
United Lutheran Church’s bowling group will be at Bierstube Bowl 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday March 15. Couples, families and individuals are welcome. The cost is about $4.
