Prayer group meets before dawn

First United Methodist Church offers morning prayer the first and third Thursday of the month. The group meets at 5:30 a.m. for revival and renewal that begins with prayer.

Loaves and Fishes

Red Wing Girl Scouts will serve the Loaves and Fishes/Sunday Supper dinner at 5p.m. Nov. 16 at First United Methodist Church, 403 East Ave.

This is a full meal served free of charge and open to everyone.

Library books can be delivered

In cooperation with the Red Wing Public Library, Faith in Action volunteers are matched with individuals unable to get to the library. The volunteers will pick-out books, deliver to an individual and then return them through the Book House Call program. Timing is arranged with the receivers and the volunteers. Widows group meets in Lake City

The Widows Speak group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 19 at First Lutheran Church, Lake City. All widows are welcome to join.

Hear how experiences dramatically change lives

Do you have a story to tell of a life-changing event? St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church adult forum at 9:35 a.m. Sunday Nov. 16 will feature experiences that changed people’s lives. Some people have died briefly and been revived, some of been injured and others suffered illness while some are called to service. These events altered the direction of their lives.

Event for parents

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will hold a special presentation for parents at 6 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 19 while the kids attend confirmation. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Faith in Action seeks drivers

Faith in Action is looking for volunteers to drive individuals to various appointments. If you are interested in exploring this opportunity, call 651-385-3290. The office is located at 1407 W. Fourth St.

Nurse available Sunday

The parish nurse at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, will be available from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Sunday Nov. 16 in the downstairs front entrance. Through this ministry people may have blood pressure and heart rate checks as well as receive health information.
