St. Paul’s Lutheran Church honored members who will mark 50, 55 or 60 years of marriage in 2014. Interfaith group helps others

Faith in Action in Red Wing is an interfaith volunteer program serving seniors and those in distressed circumstances. The organization’s goal is to help individuals in the community remain independent.

All services are provided by caring volunteers, with no charge to the recipient. Services include local transportation, out-of-town transportation for medical purposes, friendly visiting, library books, respite care and caregiver support group.

‘Unleash Hope’ looks at burnout

Zion Covenant Church in Ellsworth tackles part 6 on Sunday of “Unleash Hope,” a seven-part teaching series based on the book “The Hope Quotient” by Ray Johnston.

Hope is more than a feeling — it’s the byproduct of seven key factors, organizers said. This week’s session is factor 6: Replace Burnout with Balance.

The class begins at 10 a.m. Sunday at Zion Covenant Church.

The youth of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will lead 9:30 a.m. worship Sunday June 1. The service will honor St. Paul’s 2014 graduates.
