Benefits & fundraisers

United Way wants your old cellphone

United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha and Pierce Counties will accept used cellphones and turn them in for funds to support the agency's Packing for the Weekend program. That feeds children who may not have access to food on the weekends.

Simply drop off your old phone in the bin at the office, 413 W. Third St., and you can help feed a hungry family.

Women Build teams sells refurbished furniture

Members of the Ruby Slippers team for the Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity Women Build have refurbished furniture and are selling the items at Bella Casa.

Items include chairs, a headboard, a table and a cat bed made from a 1950s television console.

All proceeds will go toward the Women Build house on Jefferson Street.
