Summer spoiler: Get the scoop on the season’s hottest events

It’s that time of the year again. The sweet, sweet sounds, sun and steady stream of family fun that is the summer festival season.

From biking around Lake Pepin to the celebration of all things cheese, festivals are filling the weekends of the region’s summer calendar. Check out the list below for a spoiler alert of what this upcoming season has to offer.


June

Covered Bridge Music & Arts Festival

The annual community event in Zumbrota includes the Art in East Park fair, parade, fun run, games, food and fireworks display.

Father’s Day Car Show

The Phantoms Motor and Model Club present the annual Father’s Day Car Show in downtown Red Wing.

Plein Air Art Festival

Artists gather in Red Wing for the annual Plein Air Art Festival. Painters work outdoors and scatter around the region during the week-long event.

Cheese Curd Festival

The 15th annual Cheese Curd Festival “Surfer Curd: Fun in the Sun” includes food vendors, live entertainment, sport tournaments, craft show, cheese curd eating contest and more.

Blues Fest

Harbor Bar presents Blues Fest with live music from Jimmy & the Band of Souls, Big Mike Blues Band, Back Channel Blues and Sena Ehrhardt among others.

Summer Celebration of the Arts

The Anderson Center’s Summer Celebration of the Arts includes more than 100 local and regional artists, craftspeople, writers and musicians.

Stockholm Art Fair

The Stockholm, Wis., festival celebrates local art alongside Lake Pepin. The juried art fair features over 100 artists, food vendors, live music and more.

Rolling River Music Festival

Reggae Fest

River City Days

Red Wing’s premier summer festival with free entertainment, food and games for all ages. The event features an arts and crafts festival, tournaments, vendors, car show, medallion hunt, beer tent, parade and live music.

Goodhue County Fair

The annual county fair has been operating for well over a century. This year’s entertainment includes a lawn mower derby, kids power wheel contest, demolition derby, tractor and truck pull, bull riding and barrel racing and live music from Sawyer Brown. Special contests, chainsaw art, animal judging, fair food and more are part of the six-day event.

Pierce County Fair
