Glasby benefit set for Aug. 26
Friends and family will hold a benefit for Roy Glasby, who was diagnosed with with incurable pancreatic cancer. The benefit, 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Eagles Club, 1220 Vermillion St., Hastings, will include a silent auction, baked goods and raffle.
Although Glasby's cancer is incurable, hospice care is required to help control his pain and assist him with the final stages of life.
Proceeds from the benefit will assist hospice costs and related expenses.
A dinner of chicken or pork, sandwich, pasta salad, chips, and cookie is $10 a plate.
