History Center offers free admission for military personnel
The Goodhue County History Center will be part of the more than 1,800 Blue Star Museums throughout the country offering free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
"This is a way to say 'thank you' to our servicepeople and their families for the service that they have given us," museum director Char Henn said.
The program is a collaboration among the museums and the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families and the Department of Defense.
"Blue Star Museums is something that service members and their families look forward to every year and we are thrilled with the continued growth of the program," Blue Star Families CEO Kathy Roth-Douquet said.
The complete list of participating museums is available at www.arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.
