Benefit for Shelby McKinley Saturday
A benefit for Shelby McKinley will be held this Saturday at the Redmen Club in Red Wing beginning at noon.
McKinley, 19, a graduate of Ellsworth High School, lives in Red Wing. She had a lump on her neck that was surgically removed.
On Aug 18, 2010, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma stage 2B. She has had a bone marrow biopsy, chemotherapy and radiation.
McKinley is full of life and has fought very hard to overcome this obstacle. She is in remission now, but will still have to continue doctoring for the next few years.
The fundraiser is being held to raise money for her medical bills. There will be door prizes and a silent auction from noon to 6 p.m. Music by Kim's sound and light show will be available from 8 p.m.-midnight.
Donations are being accepted for the benefit. They can be sent to: Alliance Bank, 840 Technology Dr., Red Wing, MN 55066.
