The Red Wing School Board held its regular meeting on August 7, 2017 in the Red Wing City Hall Chambers. Board members, excluding Borgschatz and Roe, Superintendent Karsten Anderson, staff and public were present. Chair Farrar called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Motion made by Anderson and seconded by Christensen to approve the meeting agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0.

Motion made by Anderson and seconded by Christensen to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
3.2 MSHSL Resolution:
Motion made by Anderson and seconded by Jones to approve the 2017-18 Resolution for Membership in the Minnesota State High School League. Upon roll-call vote, Anderson, Christensen, Diercks, Farrar and Jones voted in favor. Board members Borgschatz and Roe were absent. No board member voted no. Motion passed 5-0.
3.3 Approval of Policies:
Motion made by Jones and seconded by Christensen to approve policies 303, 405, 414, 425, 509, 513, 515, 525, 601, 603, 604, 612.1, 616, 709, and 805. Motion carried 5-0.
3.4 Approval of Handbooks:
Motion made by Anderson and seconded by Diercks to approve the District Student Handbook, District Employee Guidelines, and District Administration Procedures. Motion carried 5-0.
Upcoming Meetings:
Chair Farrar reviewed the upcoming meetings.
Adjournment:
Motion made by Anderson, second by Christensen to adjourn the meeting at 6:21 p.m. Motion carried 5-0.
