MINNEAPOLIS — Multiple members of the Red Wing boys swimming and diving team qualified for finals with top times at the Class A boys state swimming and diving prelims Friday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
The first race didn’t go the way the Red Wing boys swimming and diving team had planned but the Wingers found plenty of success at the Section 1A finals Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights.
Red Wing head boys swimming and diving coach Gene Petersen said the Wingers usually try to simply get through the Missota Conference meet team tends but Red Wing still secured multiple individual conference titles and placed third Saturday in Northfield.
