ProAct plans golf fundraiser Aug. 17
ProAct’s Golf Classic fundraiser returns to the Hastings Country Club Aug. 17.
The 18-hole event begins with registration from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed by an early lunch and a shotgun start at 11:45 a.m. An auction and a gourmet dinner will follow the game.
The cost is $150 per golfer, which includes lunch and dinner, a golf cart and use of the facilities and driving range. The price for the dinner only is $35. For reservations, contact Cathy McCoy at (651) 289-3170, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Red Wing High School cheerleaders will hold a garage sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the high school cafeteria. Funds will be used for summer camp and squad expenses. There will also be snacks and beverages for sale.
Sale will benefit Red Wing dog park
Red Wing Dog Park Association will hold a fundraiser rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 731 and 734 Blaine St. in the Old Fairgrounds. Smokey Row bakery items will be available to early shoppers.
All proceeds will go directly for fencing the dog park in Upper A.P. Anderson Park. Monetary donations can be sent to Red Wing Dog Park, Box 362, Red Wing, MN 55066.
When Kathleen MacDonald flew into Red Wing on Friday from Washington, D.C., her arrival fulfilled a vision that Red Wing GO GIRLS members had last October when they were presenters at a National Eating Disorders Association conference in San Diego, Calif.
