A man accused in the murder of his three young daughters was bound over for trial in St. Croix County Circuit Court Tuesday morning.
Judge Scott Needham found probable cause that Aaron Schaffhausen committed a felony and set an arraignment hearing for Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. when he will enter a plea.
A man accused in the deaths of his three young daughters in a gruesome incident at a River Falls residence last Tuesday made his initial appearance in St. Croix County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon.
District Attorney Eric Johnson said the throats were slit on all three girls.
About two hours after he allegedly killed his three children at the home where he once lived, a former River Falls man turned himself in to police at their station, soon after officers had begun searching for him. Aaron Schaffhausen, 34, was booked into St. Croix County Jail at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, on three counts of first degree intentional homicide.
A 61-year-old Northfield woman, Dayna Kristine Bell, has been charged with 16 counts of felony animal cruelty in connection with the deaths of many puppies and dogs in her care in September 2011. Bell is the owner and operator of Bells Kennels in Sciota Township, Dakota County.
