Rockabilly singer Robby Vee is coming to Crossings at Carnegie on Jan. 30. Isn't that a big change of pace for Crossings, the Zumbrota art center that typically presents folk, bluegrass, jazz and blues musicians?
ZUMBROTA — A public reception is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday for two artists featured through March 27 at Crossings at Carnegie - Denise Bunkert, who paints pastel landscapes, and HeeJune Shin, who paints watercolors.
“Working with soprano Maria Jette is like riding on the back of a Vespa through the streets of Rome,” according to pianist Dan Chouinard. “You’re pulled along behind her impulsive fascination with all the things that pop into her head.”
