With 13 months before the curtain goes up on Pierce County’s edition of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, local organizers traveled to rural Waterloo Wednesday to watch this year’s hosts in Dodge County showcase their program to Wisconsin agricultural press.
The Roger and Beverly Peterson farm, located off Highway 29 south of River Falls, will play host to Farm Technology Days July 20-22, 2010.
The three-day event, held in a different Wisconsin county each year, draws hundreds of commercial exhibitors and about 80,000 visitors.
Thirty Pierce County officials and volunteers had to abbreviate their day-long visit to Wisconsin Farm Technology Days near Greenleaf, Wis., Wednesday when heavy weather rolled in, but a walk-through of the show gave them first-hand knowledge of challenges they'll face in less than two years.
