Golf for a Goal set for Friday

Setting the table for success
Red Wing wraps up its youth girls hockey camp today at Prairie Island Arena. Varsity head coach Scott Haley (standing) has “about 36” girls at the camp, which began Monday. The numbers have been consistently rising to the point where he’s considering adding a JV program, especially after the varsity qualified for state a year ago. “It’s off the hook,” Haley said.

Red Wing is the fourth-ranked Class A team in the preason poll appearing in today's issue of Let’s Play Hockey. The Wingers return all but two players from last year's team that finished third at state. The team opens play Nov. 17 at Hastings. Warroad, the runner-up in 2009, is ranked No. 1.
