MINNEAPOLIS - Losing was the best thing to happen to Cannon Falls. The Bombers high kick dance team finished runner-up to Lake City at the Section 1A tournament last weekend but they would not be denied Saturday at the Class 1A state dance tournament High Kick Division.

I would like to tell you the truth about the terrible things printed about me. My picture again appeared in the paper (R-E, Feb. 9). The last time was Oct. 17. The paper made it sound like I spent four days in jail. I did not. I went in four days earlier for fingerprinting. The gals at the jail were so nice. They even thanked me for coming in early to get it done. While they were doing a background check, they put the jail coat on me, took my picture and let me go.
