Jean Anderson Ellis, 81, of Red Wing, died Thursday, Feb. 28, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park.
She was born June 11, 1931, in Minneapolis to Earnest and Esther Newport. She worked at the Red Wing Health Center and at Hi-Park Care Center. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Ellis of Red Wing; children, Dianna (Wayne) Cooper of Conway, Mo., David (Joann) Anderson of Red Wing, Douglas Anderson of Charlottesville, Va., Debra (Roger) Leech of Elk River, Doreen (Jim) Facile of Bakersfield, Calif., and Christine (Paul) Polk of Maple Grove; one daughter-in-law, Janet Kay Anderson of Champlin, Minn.; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (LaVonne) Newport of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William D. Anderson; two sisters, Elaine Blichfeldt and Maisie Bauer; and a brother, Leslie Newport.
No services will be held.
