Berdine A. Clement, 86, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, at Samaritan Bethany.

Berdine A. Clement, 86, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, at Samaritan Bethany.

Berdine was born March 14, 1926, in Red Wing, Minn., to John H. and Myrtle (Gernentz) Hoeft. She was a 1944 graduate of Red Wing High School. On Oct. 30, 1946, in Welch, Minn., Berdine married Roger Clement. She was a homemaker, worked as a hostess at Arby's, and helped Roger on the family farm.

Berdine was a member of Peace United Church of Christ where she was active in the Women's Circle. She enjoyed baking, flowers, gardening, and her monthly birthday club with the ladies. Above all, Berdine loved spending time and making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Berdine is survived by her children, Bruce (Mary) Clement of Rochester, Judy (Frank) Kahn of Elgin, Charles (Janet) Clement of Fairfield, Mont., and James (Brenda) Clement of Owatonna. Berdine is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Lucas, Cole, Jason, Josh (Peggy), Monica (Brian), Michael, Andrea, Christine (Joe), Jennifer (Joe), Ashley, Alyssa; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Ellen Reick of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Roger; infant son; and brother, Lloyd Hoeft.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Peace United Church of Christ, 1503 2nd Ave. NE, Rochester. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev.
