Arlene Mae Kimball, 82, of Red Wing, died Friday, Feb. 15, at her home at Potter Ridge.
Arlene Mae Kimball, 82, of Red Wing, died Friday, Feb. 15, at her home at Potter Ridge.
She was born on April 28, 1930, in Red Wing, to Sidney and Mabel (Groetsch) Kimball. She attended school in Bay City and Red Wing. For many years, she babysat for families in Red Wing. She volunteered at a number of places including the Red Wing Health Center, Sheldon Theatre, and Jordan Towers.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed taking care of children, working in the nursery at Christ Episcopal Church, listening to country music and traveling with groups from Jordan Towers, and attending the State Fair with the Seniors group.
Survivors include one brother, Aaron Kimball of Red Wing, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Sidney, and one sister, Orpha Paulson.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Todd Engel officiating. Burial will be in the Bay City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and for 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the church or Mayo Red Wing Hospice.
