Jean Eleanor Aymond, 89, of Bemidji, Minn., died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 17, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Jean Eleanor Aymond, 89, of Bemidji, Minn., died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 17, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, with a prayer service at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake, Minn.

She was born March 13, 1923, the daughter of Edwin and Anna (Ness) Braaten. She married George Aymond. They raised their family in Red Wing, Minn. They moved to Bemidji in 1982, residing on Grace Lake. She loved music, dancing and was a talented artist. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her seven children, Pat (Richard) Hoffman of Eau Claire, Wis., Mike Aymond of Hastings, Minn., Dave (Mikki) Aymond of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Nancy (Michael T.) Murphy of Red Wing, Mary (Don) Hart of Arlington Heights, Ill., Chris (Loretta) Aymond of Apple Valley, Minn., Amy (Martin) Woodford of Bemidji; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Cindy; and brother, Clarence.
