1/17/2013: Lexis Halvorson, 16

Lexis Mary Ann Halvorson, 16, Red Wing, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

She was born March 12, 1996, in Red Wing, to Carrie Halvorson and Chris Willgrubs. She attended school in Red Wing and Ellsworth and was currently working at Liberty's Restaurant. She enjoyed playing soccer, fishing, camping, and hanging out with her brothers, sisters, friends, and family. She was a loving daughter, sister, and friend.

Survivors include her parents, Carrie (Ryan) McMahon of Red Wing and Chris (Danielle) Willgrubs of Hager City; six siblings, Hailey, Hunter, and Gage McMahon and Margaret, Evelynn, and Gabrielle Willgrubs; her paternal grandparents, Phillip and Maureen Willgrubs of Hager City; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Steve and Anita Halvorson, and great-grandmother Lorraine Halvorson.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Greg Strunk officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and on Tuesday for 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
