Katherine "Kitty" Crotty, 87, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, at her daughter’s residence in Hager City, Wis.
Katherine "Kitty" Crotty, 87, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, at her daughter’s residence in Hager City, Wis.
She was born Dec. 4, 1925, in Emerson, Manitoba, the daughter of William and Pauline (Lysok) Duik. She grew up in Emerson, Manitoba. She married Irving “"Happy" Crotty in 1946, and they moved to Red Wing.
Katherine is survived by her daughters, Judith (Miles) Renaas, Donna (Tim) Hallquist, and Marlene (Joseph) Fiorisi; grandchildren, Paul Hallquist, Nathan Hallquist, Suzanne Linder, Garrett Gerlock, and Michael Mattison; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Olga Skinner and Helen Melbourne; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving "Happy" Crotty; parents; and sisters Mary Crotty and Ann Buckingham.
A Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing with Father Thomas M. Kommers presiding. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Red Wing. Casketbearers will be Paul Hallquist, Nathan Hallquist, Garrett Gerlock, Joseph Linder, Joseph Fiorisi, and Tim Hallquist. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Health System - Red Wing Hospice.
