Frances Mae (Santelman) Heins, 87, of Austin, Minn., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.
Frances Mae (Santelman) Heins, 87, of Austin, Minn., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.
She was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Florence Township, Minn., to George and Elizabeth Santelman. She married Dallas Heins on May 14, 1950, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Frontenac, Minn. Frances was a lifelong member of the church's congregation. Dallas preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2006.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Christina; six brothers and sisters, Marcel Santelman, Florence Grimm, Beulah Santelman, Elizabeth "Betty" Heins, George Santelman, and Irene Rieck.
Frances is survived by her sons, Dan (Karen) Heins of Austin, Brian Heins of Ellsworth, Wis.; grandchildren Micah (Kim) Heins of Rochester, Sarah (Bert) Ouimette of Brimley, Mich., Philip (Michelle) Heins of Rapid City, S.D., Diana Heins of Mounds View, Minn., and Dustin Heins of Red Wing, Minn.; great-granddaughters, Abigail Heins of Rochester and Jaelynn Heins of Red Wing; brother-in-law Donald Heins of Red Wing and sister-in-law Shirley Perkins of Red Wing; and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Frances Heins will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 2103 8th St. SW, Austin, from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Frontenac, with Reverend Christopher Hoppe officiating. There will also be visitation at the church 1 hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Frontenac Cemetery.
