Nancy Ellen (Carroll) Bussman of Cannon Falls, Minn., died on Saturday, Nov. 24, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Nancy Ellen (Carroll) Bussman of Cannon Falls, Minn., died on Saturday, Nov. 24, after a courageous battle with cancer. She formerly lived in Rochester, Red Wing, and Cannon Falls.
She was born Dec. 15, 1957, to parents Eugene P. and Joye Ann Carroll. She graduated from Red Wing Central High in 1976. After graduating from high school, she married Albert Bussman from Stewartville, Minn., on Aug. 6, 1976, but later divorced. Her occupation was as a waitress at various businesses throughout Rochester, Red Wing, and Cannon Falls.
She was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had an outgoing personality and infectious smile and loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed music, dancing, knitting, crocheting, and bowling.
She is survived by three sons, Alan (fiancée, Rachel Larson) of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Adam of Rochester, and Phillip (girlfriend, Kirby Grabau) of Spring Valley, Minn.; grandchildren, Danielle, Tyler, Addilynn, and Alyssa; mother, Joye A. Sundheim; 12 siblings, Bruce (Terri) Carroll of Ocala, Fla., Dennis Carroll of Red Wing, Steve (Nancy) Carroll of Red Wing, Mary (Joe) Mondry of Red Wing, Colleen (Bruce) Welt of Red Wing, Tim (Cindy) Carroll of Red Wing, Sue (Wayne) Barsness of Hayward, Wis., Bonnie Viscount of Red Wing, Pat Baker of Young America, Minn., Beth (Dale) Kruse of Red Wing, Pete (Lori) Carroll of Red Wing, Lisa (Joel) Schafer of Owatonna, Minn.; special friend Bill Dibble of Cannon Falls; and her precious dog "Maxx."
Preceded in death by father, Eugene (Phil) Carroll; infant brother Patrick Carroll; infant nephew Levi John Carroll; stepfather, Arnold Sundheim; brother-in-law, Frank Viscount; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Tessi Carroll; maternal grandparents, Walter and Clara Saunders.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Red Wing, with Father Thomas M. Kommers officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
