Michael George Gorman, 60, of Red Wing, died Monday, Nov. 19, at his home.

Michael George Gorman, 60, of Red Wing, died Monday, Nov. 19, at his home.

He was born July 30, 1952, in Red Wing, to George and Josephine (Heaney) Gorman. He lived in various group homes throughout his life but for the past 27 years had been at an REM home in Red Wing. He enjoyed listening to music.

He is survived by eight siblings, Helen (Tim) Webb of Rushford, Thomas (Joni) Gorman of Red Wing, Charles (Debb) Gorman of Pine Island, Mary (James) Reinhardt of Rushford, Ernie (Gayle) Gorman of Winona, Donna (Mike) Smith of Chanhassen, Denise Gorman of Eden Prairie, and Richard Gorman of Red Wing, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Gorman; and a nephew, Brian Reinhardt.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Goodhue with Father Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the St. Columbkill's Cemetery, Belle Creek. Visitation will be for hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to REM Red Wing.
