Preceded in death by his parents, Bev and Don Prinz.
Survived by sisters, Gail (David) Hennek and Nancy Pitman; nephews, nieces; former wife, Sharon Prinz, and her children; and many friends.
Jim was born in Minneapolis, Minn., and grew up in Red Wing, Minn., and Ionia, Mich. He was a longtime resident of Portage, Mich. Jim served his country during the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star. He was an avid bowler, past president of the Kalamazoo men's bowling association, and in 1991, was inducted into the Kalamazoo Bowlers Hall of Fame.
As per Jim's request, no service will be held.
