Roger Stewart Enevold, 76, of Red Wing, died Sunday, Sept. 30, at St. Brigid's at Hi Park.

Roger Stewart Enevold, 76, of Red Wing, died Sunday, Sept. 30, at St. Brigid's at Hi Park.

He was born July 4, 1936 in Zumbrota to Emil and Emma (Ree) Enevold and grew up in Red Wing, graduating from Red Wing Central High in 1954. Throughout his life he worked in different jobs, from steel work and welding to construction work. Shortly after high school, he married Gail McMahon and they had two children, Steve and LuAnn. They later divorced. He then met Sharon Sprick and they made their home in Red Wing and had a son, Adam. Roger will be remembered by many as the guy who was always telling jokes or trying to pull pranks.

He is survived by 3 children, Adam Enevold of Red Wing, Steve (Joanne) Enevold of Frontenac and LuAnn (Scott Anderson) Phernetton of Hager City; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Leroy (LaVonne) Enevold and a sister, Mary Jo (Chuck) Kurtti.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Susan Weich; son-in-law, Terry Phernetton and a grandson, Chet Phernetton.

A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel followed by a service at 6 p.m. with Reverend Tom Johnson officiating. To send online condolences visit www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
