Alvin Alexander Mayer of Red Wing died Aug. 7.
Al was born Sept. 25, 1926, to Alexander and Alice (Oates) Mayer in Colorado Springs, Colo. He served in WWII aboard the aircraft carrier USS Siboney. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in electrical engineering.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lenny, and sons Kevin and Peter (Beth.)
He was preceded in death by his son David.
Burial will be next to David at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo.
