Karen Peterson, 66

Karen Kay Peterson, 66, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, July 24, at her home.

She was born on Dec. 9, 1945, in Oak Lawn, Ill., to Wallace and June (Allen) Hotlen. In 1965, she married Richard Lance, and they later divorced. She then married Patrick Peterson in 1978.

Karen is survived by her husband, Patrick; sons, Michael (Cindy) Lance of California, John (Kristine) Lance of Red Wing, Brain Lance of Illinois, and Chad (Jessica) Lance of Goodhue, and daughter, Amie Peterson of Red Wing; 13 grandchildren; and her siblings Patricia Dale-Ramos, Peggy Lemke, Mike (Karen) Hotlen, Wesley Hotlen, Kathy (Jim) Zwiener, Kellie Stevens, and Kari (Mike) Mollick.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Marilynn Stitz, Joni Hotlen, and Keith Hotlen.

A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
