Clarence Oskey, 95, of Largo, Fla., formerly of Red Wing, died Thursday, July 19, at the Largo Medical Center in Largo.
Clarence Halverson Oskey, age 95, of Largo, Fla., formerly of Red Wing, passed away on July 19.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Frances; one sister-in-law, Beth Oskey of Minnesota; his nephews, Jeffrey Oskey of Hager City, Wis., Warren Oskey Jr, of Los Angeles, Calif., and his niece, Cheryl Holmes of Prescott, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvie Bert and Ida; his first wife, Ida; and three brothers, Robert, Warren, and Bernard.
Clarence was born in Red Wing, son of Elvie Bert Oskey and Ida Amelia (Halverson) Oskey. His early years were spent in Red Wing. He lived his productive years on a farm in Bay City, Wis., with his mother. He married Ida C. Opsal on Aug. 26, 1978, in St. Paul, Minn. She passed away Jan. 19, 1982. He married Grace Frances Auer on May 30, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Clarence enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife, Grace, in and out of the U.S. They also were passionate ballroom dancers and lived their lives to the fullest together.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Reverend Eugene Hasselquist will be officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing.
