Samuel M. Zeth, 86, passed away early Monday morning, July 16, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C.

Samuel M. Zeth, 86, passed away early Monday morning, July 16, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C.

Born Feb. 17, 1926, in Harrisburg, Pa., he was the son of Troupe and Sarah Zeth. After 6 years in Harrisburg, his family moved to Santa Monica, Calif., where he attended high school, junior college, and met his wife of 65 years, Lavonne G. Zeth. After 12 years in California, they moved to Red Wing, Minn., where he joyfully drove semi for Monson Trucking until retirement. For the past 9 years he has lived in Salisbury.

Sam Zeth was a man who enjoyed people, life, and golf, who always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed by many and his surviving family: son-in-law and daughter, Mike and Sara Reeder of Salisbury, and his grandsons, Samual M. and Adam M. Reeder.

Graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 19, at Rowan Memorial Park, with the Rev. Don Phillips of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church officiating.
