Thomas Holmquist, 52

Thomas Edward Holmquist, age 52, of Buffalo, Minn., passed away on Saturday, July 7, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

He was born on Dec. 26, 1959, in Black Rock, Ark., the son of Donald F. and Opal Hilborn Holmquist. Thomas attended Red Wing High School. He was employed at Whirltronics in metal stamping. Thomas has lived in the Buffalo area for the past 15 years, coming from Red Wing.

Survived by a sister, Debra Elizabeth (Kevin) Owens of Annandale; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife, Lora Dalson Holmquist, on Nov. 23, 2011, his parents, Donald and Opal Holmquist; and by a brother, Donald Gene Holmquist.

A memorial service for Thomas Holmquist will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 13, at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A time of gathering will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until time of services.
