Norma Wilhelmine Elfrieda Fricke, age 105, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Lake City Care Center.

Norma Wilhelmine Elfrieda Fricke, age 105, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Lake City Care Center.

She was born Jan. 3, 1907, in Goodhue County, Belvidere Township, to Ben and Minnie (Freiheit) Giese.

She married Henry Fricke on Nov. 24, 1926. They farmed in the Bremen area. He died April 3, 1967. She then moved to Lake City in the fall of 1968 and went into the Lake City Care Center in August 2002. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Senior Citizens group. She enjoyed playing cards, going to Senior Citizens, and spending time with "Her Lady Friends."

Survivors include two sons, Maurice "Bud" (Marylyn) of Lake City and Norbert of Millville; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-stepchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Fricke; her parents; one daughter, Marian Springer; and sister, Marcella Raymond.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Reverend Dennis Valleau officiating. Burial is at Bremen Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church or Bremen Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
