Gerald Kuhn, age 90, of Cannon Falls, passed away on Thursday evening, Dec. 29, at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.

Gerald Kuhn, age 90, of Cannon Falls, passed away on Thursday evening, Dec. 29, at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.

Gerald was born on Aug. 11, 1921, the son of John and Theresa (Miller) Kuhn. Gerald attended country school in Cannon Falls Township and was a longtime member of Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. He married Dolores Miller on Oct. 2, 1940, in Hastings, and they remained together until her death in 1993.

Gerald worked as a farmer for most of his life. He also held a position for 35 years as a heavy equipment operator for Local 49 Union. He spent many years helping with Cannon Falls Township maintenance. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Gerald is survived by his children, Karen (Brian) Flom of Edina and Raymond (Karen) Rapp of Cannon Falls; grandsons, Todd Flom of Minnetonka, Eric, Chris, and Kyle Rapp, all of Cannon Falls; 10 great-grandchildren; longtime companion, Jane Duckett; Jane's children, Kevin, Keith, Susan, and Julie; sister, Jeanette; brother Jim; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dolores; brother Eldrige; and great-granddaughter Amie Lynn Rapp.

Memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, with Reverend Roger Claxton officiating. Lunch was held immediately following the service at the winery.

Memorials are preferred to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, the Cannon Falls library, or the Cannon Falls Fire Department.
