Viola M. Hart, 92, of Cannon Falls, passed away at Angels Care Center on Saturday evening, March 13.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, at the Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd., Cannon Falls, with the assistance of Reverend Michael Dobbins. Burial will be in Cannon Falls Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.

Viola M. Hart was born May 23, 1917, in Madison, S.D., the daughter of Joseph H. and Mabel H. Beyer. She was united in marriage to Charles J. Peterson on June 2, 1934. Viola was a life-time gardener who had a career as a nurses' aide, and then qualified for an L.P.N., a position she held until retirement from the Mineral Springs Sanitarium in Cannon Falls. On Sept. 25, 1966, she married Howard Hart. Viola lived most of her life in Cannon Falls and Red Wing and was active in the Vasa Lutheran Church.

Viola is survived by her son, Charles A. Peterson of Red Wing; her daughter, Grace B. Dyrud (Keith) of St. Paul; and stepchildren, Vicky, Dallas and Delbert Hart.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles and Howard; sisters, Violet, Eva, and Genevieve; and brothers, Albert Hurry, Harry, Roy and Paul Beyer.

She is survived by brothers, Ray (Betty), Henry (Charlotte), and David; and sisters, Esther Wilson and Margaret Thompson (Eldon). She is survived also by grandchildren, David Hinrichs (Trudy), Lara Mac Lean (John), John (Jeong Ok), Mary, Leah and Lars Dyrud (Mocha); great-grandchildren, Richard (Tressa) and Jason Hinrichs, Lauren and Jackson Mac Lean, Euna, Eunji, Finn and Eli Dyrud; and many nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Angels Care Center for the care they provided during Viola's last years.

Gramma Vi "adopted" our children and was a wonderful grandmother to them. We will not forget her happy laughter and her loving smile. She touched many hearts. Denise and Wayne.
