The memorial service for Maxine D. Frazier will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City, Minn., with Pastor Dennis Valleau officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City.

Mrs. Frazier, 73, of Lake City, died Sunday afternoon, March 14, at the Lake City Medical Center - Mayo Health System Nursing Home in Lake City.

Maxine Delores Lafferty was born June 12, 1936, in Wabasha, Minn., to Donald and Delores (Schuster) Lafferty. She attended Lake City area schools. Maxine lived in Seattle, Wash., from 1962-1990. On Feb. 19, 1972, she married Vernon Frazier in Seattle. In the spring of 1990, they moved to Lake City, and on Oct. 3, 1996, they moved to Las Vegas, Nev. On Oct. 3, 2004, they moved back to Lake City.

Maxine was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon Frazier of Lake City; one daughter, Rose Henifin of Red Wing, Minn.; one son, Terry Pfingsten of Seattle; two stepsons, Steven Frazier and John Frazier, both of Seattle; one granddaughter, Amber Henifin of Red Wing; one great-grandson, Justin Henifin; two sisters, Rose Mary (Neil) Boerboom of Minneapolis, Minn., and Kathleen Lafferty of Andover, Minn.; four brothers, Donald J. Lafferty of Frontenac, Minn., Larry Lafferty of Richfield, Minn., Daniel (Debra) Lafferty of Rochester, Minn., and Raymond (Kathy) Lafferty of Lake City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard; and one brother, Michael Wallace.

Friends and family may visit from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church on Thursday.
