Bob Anderson (right) and Amy Ries of the Raptor Resource Project in Decorah, Iowa, rappel down Unit 1 at the Prairie Island nuclear plant on June 9 to the peregrine falcon nest box. They found three healthy babies, loaded them in a pet carrier and transported them to the top of the dome. The babies’ mother was vocal during the process, but didn’t strike at either Anderson or Ries.
