Fireworks displays will culminate Fourth of July festivities in several area communities. In Red Wing, they’ll come after the dedication concert at the Central Park Band Shell but before the showing of “Independence Day” on the outdoor screen at Bay Point Park. The pyrotechnics are set off on Trenton Island, which is visible from Levee and Bay Point parks. Treasure Island Resort & Casino gets a jump-start with its Block Party and fireworks on July 3.
Also on July 4, Cannon Falls caps the Cannon Valley Fair with fireworks. In Wanamingo, they culminate a day full of music, parades and children’s activities. Lake City has evening entertainment in Ohuta Park then fireworks over Lake Pepin at dusk. Wabasha offers fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at the Athletic Field.
