Red Wing junior Ashley Thompson competes in the 100-yard breaststroke Wednesday at Ellis Middle School in Austin, Minn. Thompson qualified for the Class 1A state swimming meet with a time of 1 minute, 9.99 seconds Friday at the section finals. The state cut time was 1:10.07.
