An article printed in the Republican Eagle on Oct. 22, 1992 features a photo of Bob Braschler, owner of Braschler’s Bakery, holding a tray of political cookies that read either “Bush,” “Clinton” or “Perot.” Bill Hanisch decided to carry on the cookie poll tradition when he bought Braschler’s and turned it into Hanisch Bakery.
