Prairie Island Tribal Council President Johnny Johnson accepts a piece of Reddy Kilowatt cake from Red Wing Steam Plant worker Suzette McDougall. The electricity mascot made of lightning bolts, a light bulb nose and wall outlet ears debuted in 1926. He was featured in a 1947 comic book, the same year the former coal-burning plant opened in Red Wing.
