Helen Bell #109 was a Charter Member of the Red Wing Collectors Society. She was instrumental throughout the organizations history through creating the RWCS Convention Supplement, presenting education sessions, volunteering. Helen was inducted in to the RWCS Hall of Fame in 2001 recognizing her dedication and support of the organization. The RWCS members will miss her very deeply. On a personal note, it was a privilege to get to know Helen Bell. I had the opportunity to have many wonderful conversations with Helen both at convention and visits to her home. It was a joy to learn the history of the organization from her. I will miss calling her every year to arrange for her to be at Red Wing High School for the Convention. Lynne Stark Estes Park,Co Helen had enough Love for everyone. She was my Godmother, neighbor and dear friend. I remember all the years we would go to her house at xmas for crafts and decorate cookies. I'd see her in the window every day and I'd always stop in to say hi and get into an interesting conversation. She always had an answer for all our ?'s.I moved to Colorado in my teens, but whenever I'd make it to Red Wing she was the one I went out of my way to stop to visit.

My thoughts and prayers are with Helen's loved ones! She was a special neighbor for my family and daycare children. My daughters used to love to walk past Helen's house and wave and smile at Helen each evening during our family walks. My daycare children would often visit Helen's house and pick up the strewn sticks and branches following any wind. Rest in peace Helen!
