Resolution No. 6048A RESOLUTION PROPOSING THE 2010 COLLECTIBLE TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF RED WING PORT AUTHORITY AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Enabling Resolution establishing the Red Wing Port Authority (“Enabling Resolution”) and Minnesota Statutes Section 469.053 of the Port Act, the Council may, if requested by the City of Red Wing Port Authority (“Port Authority”), levy annually up to .01813 percent of the market value of taxable property within the City, which said levy shall not be taken into account for purposes of the City’s levy limit and the proceeds of which shall be set aside by the Finance Director for purposes of the Port Authority for expenditures by it in accordance with its approved budget; and,

Notice is hereby given that the Red Wing City Council will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of Red Wing City Hall on Monday, November 23, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. regarding the proposed Port Authority Levy for taxable assessment year 2009 to be collected in 2010.

The proposal involves splitting a single family residential lot off of the larger golf course property and rezoning the new parcel from (AC) Agriculture Conservation to (R-1) Residential One.
