Nature hikes offered at Frontenac State Park

Minnesota DNR announces deer season for 10- to 15-year-olds 
Youth ages 10 to 15 are eligible to participate in a special deer season that runs from Oct. 21 to Oct. 24 in 12 permit areas of southeastern Minnesota and 15 deer permit areas of northwestern Minnesota, the DNR said in a press release Monday.
Huge land conservation deal done 
The Conservation Fund, The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Blandin Paper Company completed a working forest conservation easement that forever protects 187,876 acres of Northwoods forests, wetlands and shoreline.
