NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS –

HADER TOWER SITE 38.008.1000

The County of Goodhue, Minnesota, is seeking proposals from qualified firms or persons interested in purchasing the real property known as the Hader Tower Site, legally described as:

All that part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 110 North, Range 16 West in Goodhue County and State of Minnesota, described as follows:

From the intersection of the center line of State Trunk Highway No. 52, with the centerline of County Road No. 31, run North 45 degrees East along the centerline of said road for 239 feet for a place of beginning of tract here to be conveyed; thence South 45 degrees East 231 feet to the easterly line of land owned by Christ Nygaard; thence North 6 degrees West along the easterly line of said Christ Nygaard land for 296 feet to the center line of said County Road No. 31; thence South 45 degrees West along centerline of said road 186 feet to the place of beginning. Said tract conveyed containing one-half acre, more or less.

The property includes land, concrete building, a 150 foot self-supporting communications tower, footings, and fence that have been used pursuant to a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) that will transfer with the property. Purchaser will be responsible for complying with all applicable zoning ordinance provisions, building code regulations and any other laws, ordinances, or regulations relating to communication towers and structures. The tower and physical property on the site shall either be in use or removed by a licensed contractor within 6 months of purchase.

Proposals must be received by 4:00 p.m., April 12th 2013, and will be considered by the County Board at the regularly conducted board meeting scheduled for 9:00 a.m., May 7th, 2013, at the Kenyon City Hall, 709 2nd Avenue, Kenyon, MN 55946. Goodhue County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals at the discretion of the County Board. A decision by the County Board to pursue an option will allow the County and the proposer to enter into direct negotiations in order to finalize an agreement.
